Snapshot memories from our 3-night BCX ceremony at The Mothership! Special thanks to the Bassnectar team & crew, the Bass Network & Ambassadors, all of the openers & performers, the city of Hampton for having us, and to the swarms of Bass Heads for coming from miles around 🙂 Now we’re deep in the labs, working on Reflective EP: Part Two – as we gear up for our Halloween festival appearances, and an extended New Year’s run, including a wall-to-wall immersive experience in ATL for NYE!!! Although Electric Forest is one of my favorite festivals to perform at, I noticed something unexpected this year: The highlight of my weekend was not being on stage, playing music, or even running around exploring: it was volunteering inside of this little treehouse in the middle of the woods… In conjunction with an amazing non-profit called To Write Love On Her Arms (who serve to encourage mental health, from light-hearted art projects to pro-active suicide prevention – https://twloha.com), the festival and their partners from Grand Artique had set up little telephones, attached to trees in The Forest – like some kind of magical, mysterious phone booths. I sat inside a little treehouse with an old-timey switchboard and headset, playing Operator to the network of phones placed throughout the forest. I would see a button light up, which meant that there was someone at a phone, and I could ring a phone and see who answered. The idea was to engage people in a meaningful discussion, and I decided to interview people about friendship, philosophy, and the meaning of life. Thanks to everyone who came together to make this such a magical experience! One of the intentions was to shift the focus from the artist to the art: gathering humans in a room filled to the brim with music and let them swim around freely in the bass waves! Massive thanks to the entire PK SOUND CREW, all at Brown Note, and of course our entire multimedia team including but not limited to Smalley, Gabe, Max, Peter, Matt, Brandon, Jake, Ian, and countless others. What a magical weekend!!! Thanks to all the musicians who brought the noise, the visual artists who blew our minds, and to all our crew who worked tirelessly for months to make this all happen. And most of all THANK YOU to each and every bass head who turned up and made Bass Center 2016 our biggest and brightest event to date, with nearly 50k attendees over the course of the sold-out weekend!!! You shone so very bright, and everyone we teamed up with for this event commented on how inspiring our community is: witnessing random acts of kindness; seeing how you take care and look out for each other; watching strangers be welcomed by new friends with open arms – you did a great job promoting the values that we are all about. Walking around the campgrounds at night, witnessing the amazingly friendly & positive vibe in the crowd, we are in awe of you and so grateful to have such an amazing community!!! That’s not to mention that once the music stopped both nights, many of you stayed back and tidied the entire stadium floor, leaving it spotless, as well as doing a stellar job cleaning up the campground at

Red Rocks 2015 – This was a very special moment for me personally: late Saturday night, I was overwhelmed and in tears just from THE FEELINGS… You can watch the full Zeitgeist movie below, and I highly recommend that you do.
